Description
The largest Theropod known to date, Spinosaurus aegyptiacus is believed to have grown to an adult length of 16-18 meters (52-59 feet). Like other members of the Spinosauridae, it seems to have been semi-aquatic, likely preying on large fish, crocodylomorphs, and perhaps small to medium-sized dinosaurs. It lived during the Albian and Cenomanian Epochs of the Early-Late Cretaceous, and remains of the animal have been uncovered in Egypt. A possible second species; Spinosaurus moroccanus is known from remains found in Morocco, but many scientists label it as either a nomen dubium or synonymous with S. aegyptiacus. The Brazilian Spinosaurid Oxalaia quilombensis may also turn out to be another species of Spinosaurus.
This one definitely feels like a good update to my previous Spino, though this one was done with no reference.
