Yutyrannus - Killer of the Batuyingzi Forest

It's finally done! The official version of my first scary feathered dinosaur!

Yes, I know, you must be thinking, why on earth would Fred make a scary feathered dinosaur? I thought Fred was an anti-feathers guy...

Well that's because you cant read properly. I do support feathered dinosaurs where serious evidence is due, totally, but wild accusations and labeling a feathered dinosaur "scary" by just lazily slapping blood on his face or giving him a bright poofy coat is what I don't agree with and is NOT scary...
I'm not against feathers, I'm against the fact that people dont get that the overwhelming majority find things covered in scales or skin to be MUCH scarier than things covered in feathers or fur. There's no debate on it.

Feathers are NOT scary, but they can be IF done right with precise planing, direction, and creativity (when I mean scary I mean that the appearance of the creature will keep you up at night petrified and give you nightmares, of course if any predatory dinosaur was in right front of you it'd be scary, totally different subject).
And that's what I was trying to prove here, nobody from what I've seen has made a convincingly terrifying or evil looking feathered dinosaur (IMO that would make a serious and respectful movie monster, not talking at all about the real life, natural depiction of the animal, totally different subject).
This boy is supposed to be a Yutyrannus, even though I changed the skull a bit to make em look nasty. And this is just him WITHOUT blood on...

I've been told that the feathers probably wouldnt look like this but hey, it's creative licensing, ease up.
I'm planning on making some scary Dromaeosaurs as well, but not now, too much work.
Huge thanks to 's idea for a beard and a bigger thanks to 's beautiful Werewolf fur coat that inspired the look. That design is fucking awesome.

Please, don't send me any links to images you think are "scary", I've seen them all and I'm not impressed.
